Update 31/3/24: Yay Paekākāriki is now open 🙂

Paekākāriki, Kāpiti Coast : site closed.

There is a new land owner so the site is closed until further notice.

While we do have permission to use the northern launch as it’s not part of this recent land sale, the new land owner (of the southern launch) has put a lock on the gate that usually allows us to access to both launch’s.

The WHGPC is currently working on re-establishing access to both the northern and southern launch’s so the club askes pilots to reframe from using either until those negotiations are finalised.

This site is an iconic site and it availability to flying is extremely important. Any breaches of this non-flying will be taken seriously. Please do not put future flying from the site in jeopardy. If you see anyone walking onto the site to fly – please inform them of this closure.
