Safety Notice

Bikini Tandem Harness

15 September 2026

This safety recall concerns the Bikini Tandem harness.

We have identified localised wear on certain webbing straps on a limited number of Bikini tandem harnesses that have been subjected to particularly intensive use, typically exceeding 800 launches. This wear is caused by repeated friction during reverse-launch (reverse inflation) procedures.

The cases observed mainly involve harnesses used for professional tandem operations and other high-frequency applications.

To date, inspections carried out on the affected harnesses have not identified any failure likely to result in the opening or structural failure of the harness, nor any condition that would compromise its compliance with the applicable certification requirements.

As specified in the user manual, NEO reminds all users that a complete inspection must be carried out:

•every year

•or every 150 flight hours

•or after any significant impact

During inspections and periodic servicing, particular attention should be paid to the condition of the webbing, stitchingand load-bearing connection points.

We also remind users that carabiners must be replaced after 500 flight hours or 5 years of use, whichever comes first.

If you have any doubts regarding the condition of your equipment, please contact NEO or have your harness inspectedby an approved service centre.
